2013 South Side, DE

Difficult conditions persisted at this years Southside contest and Florida’s Jackson Tenney stepped up to the challenge and won the very first event he competed in this year.  In doing so he launched himself to 11th place on the tour, poised to climb higher.  Austin Keen gave him a run for his money landing in second place and climbing to third place on the tour.  Perry Pruitt snagged third place and following his strong showing in Cabo is now ranked second on this years tour.  Dave Scott took fourth and in doing so made his way up to tenth place

2013 Cabo Classico, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Teddy Vlasis stepped up this year to take 1st at the 2013 Cabo Clasico with endless backside wrap barrels.  East coaster Perry Pruitt stepped up big earning the second place spot followed by Juan Carlos Nazario in third and Brandon Sears in fourth.  The contest results mixed up the current UST standings substantially.  Teddy Vlasis rocketed up to 4th place overall while Perry Pruitt landed in 2nd overall.  Blair Conklin twisted an ankle in his heat and wound up dropping to third overall.  Reigning champ Sam Stinnett got fifth in the event which was enough to open up a significant

2013 Sununga World Cup, Brazil

The Sununga World Cup started the 2013 UST season off with a bang in some of the best contest conditions of all time.  An epic semi-final showdown between 1st and 2nd ranked Sam Stinnett and Blair Conklin with unranked Brazilian phenoms Renato Lima and Leandro Azevedo was the highlight of the event.  The level of competition was insanely high but in the end Sam and Blair were able to squeak by in epic right hand sidewash conditions.  The top eight were as follows: Sam Stinnett Blair Conklin Renato Lima Leandro Azevedo Austin Keen Morgan Just Pablo Marreco Tim Fulton Detailed

2012 Balboa Oktoberfest, Newport Beach, CA

The 2012 United Skim Tour season came to a close last weekend in Newport Beach CA.  Going into the event, 1st and 2nd place were already locked up by Sam Stinnett and Blair Conklin following early contest season domination.  It was a good thing too since both riders tweaked their knees in the week of epic swell before the event.  Sam chose to sit Oktoberfest out while Blair skimmed, but not at his usual level of aggressiveness.  The UST wishes both a speedy recovery. 2012 Outer Banks, NC

Blair Conklin won his first east coast event at Southside and in the process moved into a close second in the tour rankings last weekend.  Brad Domke is not far behind in third after a second place finish at the event.  Teddy Vlasis placed fifth in the contest and and landed in fourth in the UST.  Meanwhile Morgan Just placed fourth in the contest which brought him up to fifth in the UST. All eyes will be on the West Coast Championships the first weekend of July as the competition is bound to heat up!
