First UST Sununga World Cup coming up soon

The UST Sununga World Cup is right around the corner.  Here is some information for competitors. There is a mandatory pre-contest meeting April 22nd at 7:00pm at the Tribo Hostel.  Competitors must register for the event at this meeting.  Entry fees are payable in cash at 200 Real (Pro), 100 Real (Am) and 50 Real (Under 14).

2012 Ranking updates before final event

Austin Keen picked up the win at UST Stop #7 and in doing so jumped into the number ten spot on the tour.  Austin is now in position to reach as high as fifth on the 2012 tour if the stars align just right going into the final event. Sam Stinnett Crowned 2012 World Champion early

After winning his fourth contest of the year in Vilano Florida last weekend, Sam Stinnett has secured his title as 2012 UST World Champion.  Sam has had a stellar season so far and has been able to lock down the title with a full two events remaining.  To put that in perspective, even if he doesn’t attend the last two events of the season, and logs zeros for those events, there is still no one who can catch him.  This is due to the aforementioned four wins so far this season but also due to the fact that when he

The Portuguese UST event this year will not be part of the Ocean Spirit Festival as the dates for that have moved.  The good news is that the UST skim contest dates have not moved.  It is still to be held July 18 – 22.

Cabo pre-contest meeting

The Cabo Clasico rider meeting will take place at 9:30 Thursday May 17th at the Faraway Bar in Cabo San Lucas.  All competitors must be present to enter and to find out the time and location for the competition.  There will be two amateur divisions this year, Intermediate and Advanced.  Amateur entry fees will be 200 pesos and Pro entry fees will be $100 USD.  Registration and entry fee are payable at the rider meeting. Pre-final event update

After back to back events in France and Santa Cruz the last two weekends, the point standings are tightening up.  With only one event remaining competitors will be giving their all this weekend in Balboa. After winning the France event, Morgan Just jumped solidly into the top 5 UST and by following up with a fifth place finish in Santa Cruz he solidified it even more.
